The Utah Department of Transportation reports that as part of the I-80 & I-215 Renewed project, I-80 will be closed in both directions between 700 East and Foothill Drive in Salt Lake City overnight on Friday, October 28, and Saturday, October 29, from 9:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. each night while crews place beams for the new 1300 East bridge over I-80.
Drivers should use I-15 and I-215 as an alternate route. This closure will result in heavy travel delays. Plan ahead and follow posted signage during the closure. For information about this work and local traffic access, visit the project website.
