Iowa I-80 Construction | I-80 Exit Guide

Road construction work at the Interstate 80/Herbert Hoover Highway interchange in Johnson County, Iowa will require closing the eastbound I-80 ramp entrance (exit 249) from 6:00 a.m. Monday, April 4 to Tuesday, November 15, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Davenport construction office.

During this I-80 ramp closure, traffic will be detoured around the work zone by traveling on westbound I-80 to Iowa 1, and then turning onto eastbound I-80 (exit 246).

The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
