Iowa’s I-80/I-380 Systems Interchange project will continue to see major changes in 2023. As the project enters the final stages of construction, please continue to be aware of construction crews, inspectors, and large slow-moving equipment.
The Iowa Department of Transportation reports that weather permitting, I-80 traffic will see multiple overnight closures occurring Monday and Thursday night this week. Details are provided below:
Overnight Closure #1: I-80 Westbound Lanes & I-380 Southbound to I-80 Westbound Ramp
Weather permitting, the westbound lanes on I-80 and the I-380 southbound to I-80 westbound ramp will be closed TONIGHT, Monday, April 3 through Tuesday, April 4. I-80 traffic will be detoured to Exit 240, Coral Ridge Avenue / Hwy 965 (on I-80).
Closure hours:
- The I-380 Southbound to I-80 westbound ramp will be closed 10:00 PM Monday, April 3 to 6:00 AM Tuesday, April 4.
- I-80 westbound lanes will be closed 11:00 PM Monday, April 3 to 5:00 AM Tuesday, April 4.
Overnight Closure #2: I-80 Eastbound & Westbound Lanes
Weather permitting, the eastbound and westbound lanes on I-80 will be closed Thursday, April 6, at 11:00 PM through Friday, April 7, at 5:00 AM. Eastbound I-80 traffic will be detoured to Exit 237, Ireland Avenue. Westbound traffic will be detoured to Exit 2, Forevergreen Road.
