The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is notifying motorists of an extended weekend full closure for the westbound U.S. Highway 50 to eastbound I-80 connector ramp and the Harbor Boulevard on-ramps to westbound US 50 in West Sacramento as part of the ongoing $280 million I-80 and US 50 Pavement Rehabilitation Project.
The north- and southbound Harbor Boulevard on-ramps to US 50 are scheduled to be closed for 55 hours from 9:00 p.m. Friday, September 19 to 4:00 a.m. Monday September 22, allowing Caltrans’ contractors to complete demolition and pavement work.
Suggested Detour to Eastbound I-80:
- From Westbound US 50, exit at the Enterprise Boulevard on-ramp and then use the connector ramp to Eastbound I-80.
Suggested Detour to Reed Avenue:
- From Westbound US 50, exit at Harbor Boulevard, stay right and use northbound Harbor Boulevard, then turn left to Sacramento Avenue to continue to Reed Avenue.
Suggested Detour for Local Traffic to Westbound I-80:
- To Westbound I-80, use Harbor Boulevard to West Capitol Avenue to the West Capitol slip on-ramp.
- Use Industrial Boulevard to Enterprise Boulevard to the West Capitol loop on-ramp.
