Lane Closures, Delays for I-80 Construction Next Week in Pennsylvania

I-80 Traffic | I-80 Construction | West Middlesex, Pennsylvania | I-80 Exit Guide

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) advises motorists that I-80 construction will require lane restrictions next week both eastbound and westbound between the Northumberland County line and the Columbia County line in Montour County, for bridge maintenance.

On Monday, May 8, 2023, and Tuesday, May 9, 2023, a PennDOT maintenance crew will be performing bridge flushing and routine maintenance on the bridges on Interstate 80 east of mile marker 215 (Limestoneville /Route 254) and west of mile marker 232 (Buckhorn / Route 42). I-80 traffic can expect alternating lane closures where work is being performed. Work will be performed between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert for I-80 construction activities, slow down, watch for lane changes, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution through the work zone.
