The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) advises drivers that a roadway maintenance project is planned next week on I-80 westbound in Mifflin Township, Columbia County.
On Wednesday, June 3, contractors will be replacing the cables to the traffic cameras located near mile marker 246, just east of the Columbia County Rest Area. Work includes removing and replacing the cables, roadway patching, and shoulder work. Drivers can expect the right (driving) lane to be restricted between the hours of 8:00 PM and 1:00 AM, weather permitting.
Drivers should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution through the work zone.
