Expect I-80 Traffic Delays for Bridge Work in Pennsylvania

I-80 Traffic | I-80 Construction | West Middlesex, Pennsylvania | I-80 Exit Guide

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) advises motorists of I-80 traffic delays as a result of lane restrictions in both directions for bridge inspections. Work will be between mile marker 231 and mile marker 232 (Route 42 / Buckhorn Exit) and on Route 4006 (Schoolhouse Road) in Hemlock Township, Columbia County.

Starting on Monday, July 31, 2023, through Friday, August 4, 2023, engineers will be performing bridge inspections on the bridges carrying Route 42 over Interstate 80 at the Buckhorn Exit and the bridges carrying Schoolhouse Road over Interstate 80, which is located approximately one mile west of the Route 42 / Buckhorn Exit. Motorists can expect alternating lane restrictions where work is being performed. Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 PM and 11:00 AM, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, watch for lane changes, and drive with caution through the work zone.
