I-80 Construction Project in Nebraska Begins May 15

The Nebraska Department of Transportation reports that weather permitting, I-80 construction work will begin Monday, May 15, from reference post 381+70 to reference post 387+54, in Seward County.

Constructors Inc. of Lincoln is the prime contractor for this project. Work includes milling, bridge and
concrete repairs, and asphalt resurfacing of the mainline and shoulders.

I-80 traffic will be maintained with lane closures from the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m., Sunday through
Saturday. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. Anticipated completion is December 2023.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near I-80 construction work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
