The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) reports that the I-80 eastbound Exits 62A and 62B ramps are scheduled to be closed and detoured tonight and tomorrow night for repaving in Saddle Brook, Bergen County.
Monday, November 24 – I-80 eastbound Exit 62A Closure
Beginning at 11:00 p.m. Monday, November 24 until 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, the I-80 eastbound Exit 62A ramp to the Garden State Parkway north/Saddle Brook is scheduled to be closed and detoured for paving and restriping. Exit 62B/Saddle River Road/Fairlawn/Lodi will remain open. If work is completed sooner, the ramp will reopen earlier. The following detour will be in place overnight:
I-80 eastbound Exit 62A ramp to Garden State Parkway Detour:
- Motorists on I-80 eastbound wishing to take the Exit 62A ramp to the Garden State Parkway north/Saddle Brook will be directed to take Exit 62B
- At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Saddle River Road
- Turn left to take the ramp onto I-80 westbound
- Take Exit 62 to the Garden State Parkway north and south, as well as Midland Avenue/Saddle Brook
Tuesday, November 25 – I-80 eastbound Exit 62A and Exit 62B Closure
Beginning at 11:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25 until 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, the I-80 eastbound Exit 62A and Exit 62B ramps are scheduled to be closed and detoured for paving and restriping. If work is completed sooner, the ramps will reopen earlier. The following detour will be in place overnight:
I-80 eastbound Exits 62A and 62B ramps to Garden State Parkway Detour:
- Motorists on I-80 eastbound wishing to take the Exit 62A and Exit 62B ramps will be directed to continue on I-80 eastbound
- Stay right to stay on I-80 eastbound Local/George Washington Bridge Lower Level
- Take Exit 63/Route 17 north/Rochelle Park/Paramus
- At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Riverview Avenue
- Turn left to take the ramp onto I-80 westbound
- Take Exit 62 to the Garden State Parkway north and south, as well as Midland Avenue/Saddle Brook
The work is part of a $11.1 million maintenance roadway contract that will mill and pave highways and ramps in Bergen, Hudson, Sussex, Union, and Warren counties. The project is expected to be completed in fall 2026.
Portable variable message signs are being used to provide advance notification of traffic pattern changes associated with the work. The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
