The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) reports that there will be I-80 lane restrictions both westbound and eastbound between Exit 242 (Mainville/Mifflinville) to Exit 256 (Conyngham/Nescopeck) in Luzerne County for sealing and mastic pouring. Work will take place on Monday, May 8, 2023, and Tuesday, May 9, 2023, between the hours of 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
Regarding I-80 lane restrictions: When encountering a work zone, please drive the posted speed limit, turn on your headlights, pay close attention to signs and flaggers, and avoid all distractions. In high-traffic locations, motorists are encouraged to use both lanes of travel to the merge point and take turns merging into the open lane.
