The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) reports that drivers traveling I-80 east and west are advised that a multi-year construction project will resume between Danville, Montour County and Limestoneville, Northumberland County.
The Week of Monday, March 30
Contractors will begin bridge repairs on Interstate 80 east and west on the bridges over Mexico Road, Chilisquaque Creek and the westbound bridge over Klondike Road.
Work includes, removal of the temporary barriers throughout the project limits and removal of the temporary pavement markings on the bridges carrying Interstate 80 over Narehood Road (Route 3003), which is located approximately 3 miles east of Exit 215 (Limestoneville / Route 254) in Liberty Township and Klondike Road (Route 3007), approximately 2 miles west of Exit 224 (Danville / Route 54) in Valley Township.
Drivers can expect alternating lane restrictions Sunday through Friday 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM where work is being performed.
This multi-year project is expected to be completed in 2027.
