The Iowa Department of Transportation (IowaDOT) reports that if you travel on I-80 between the Southwest Mixmaster and Jordan Creek Parkway, you should be aware of upcoming overnight road closure that may slow your trip.
Crews will close westbound I-80 to complete moving temporary barrier rail and pavement markings:
- Crews will close westbound I-80 beginning Monday, August 24, at 8:30 p.m. between the Southwest Mixmaster and Jordan Creek Parkway. It will reopen at 5:00 a.m. the following morning.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
