The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) reports that there will be lane restrictions on I-80 eastbound and westbound from Exit 262 (Mountain Top/Hazelton) to Exit 273 (White Haven/Freeland) in Luzerne County for utility work.
Work will take place Wednesday, December 13, 2023, through Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
When encountering a work zone, please drive the posted speed limit, turn on your headlights, pay close attention to signs and flaggers, and avoid all distractions. In high-traffic locations, motorists are encouraged to use both lanes of travel to the merge point and take turns merging into the open lane.
