Major I-80 Traffic Delays for Roadwork in Columbia County

I-80 Traffic | I-80 Construction | West Middlesex, Pennsylvania | I-80 Exit Guide

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) reports that motorists who travel on Interstate 80 westbound should be on alert for delays due to an embankment stabilization project in Hemlock Township, Columbia County.

Motorists can expect the right (driving) lane to be restricted near mile marker 235, which is approximately 1.5 miles west of Exit 236 (Bloomsburg / Lightstreet / Route 487). As of 2:50 PM, traffic was backed up approximately 1 mile from the construction area.

Delays are expected, especially during the peak traffic hours of 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. There may be residual delays into the evening hours.

Motorists are urged to slow down, drive with caution, watch for possible lane changes, and be alert for stopped or slow-moving vehicles.
