The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that the contractor for an I-80 preservation project between mile markers 97 and 120 in Clearfield County will continue work beginning Wednesday, March 5. This project will improve the ride quality and extend the service life of nearly 24 miles of roadway and six bridges along this I-80 corridor.
Beginning March 5, the contractor will establish traffic control patterns between mile markers 104 and 106 eastbound and westbound in preparation to close a lane to continue work on the structures over Anderson Creek.
During the week of March 17, there will be various lane closures between mile markers 98 and 114, east and westbound, for concrete patching.
Starting the week of April 7, work will begin at mile marker 97 eastbound and westbound on the structures over Route 219 at exit 97, this work will also include lane closures.
Also, beginning the week of April 7, lane closures will be in place at mile marker 108 to mile marker 109 eastbound and westbound for the reconstruction of the roadway under the structure carrying Gordon Road over the interstate. This closure will be in place approximately three weeks.
This $47.7 million project is scheduled to be completed in November 2025. All work is weather-dependent.
