Work on I-80 Interchange Bridge in Laramie to Begin Soon

Wyoming I-80 Bridge Closed

The Wyoming Department of Transportation has reported that contractor bids will be opened today (March 10) for repair of the damaged Grand Avenue, I-80 Interchange Bridge.

WYDOT Engineers have prioritized work on the bridge design process to meet the March 10 bid opening date. The work will begin as soon as possible after the winning contractor has been awarded the contract. The entire project will be “fast-tracked” in order to repair the bridge and reopen the exit 316 off ramp.

The bridge work will focus on the damaged bridge column underneath roadway. In order to address that, the interior lanes adjacent to the column will remain closed during the project.

WYDOT urges motorists to be prepared for delays, especially during morning and evening commutes.

The eastbound exit ramp from I-80 will also be closed during the repair.

The estimated finish time is early summer.
