The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming traffic switches as part of the ongoing I-80/Exit 308 Interchange Reconstruction Project in East Stroudsburg Borough, Monroe County. New eastbound ramps and roundabout to open; westbound traffic to shift to reconstructed lanes
I-80 Eastbound Ramps and Roundabout: October 28–29
Traffic is scheduled to shift to the newly constructed eastbound interchange ramps at Exit 308 during daytime work scheduled for October 28–29, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The switch includes:
- The on-ramp from Prospect Street to I-80 eastbound.
- The off-ramp from I-80 eastbound to Prospect Street.
The newly constructed roundabout connecting the I-80 ramps, Prospect Street and Greentree Drive will also open to traffic as part of the transition.
I-80 Westbound Traffic Switch: October 29–30
Westbound traffic is scheduled to shift to the newly reconstructed I-80 westbound lanes during overnight work beginning October 29 at 8:00 p.m. and ending October 30 at 6:00 a.m.
The affected section extends between Exit 307 (PA 611 to PA 191) and Exit 309 (US 209).
Rain is not expected to delay either scheduled operation. Motorists should use caution when traveling through the work zone and remain alert to the changing traffic patterns.
