The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) reports an upcoming traffic switch on I-80 west in support of the I-80 North Fork Bridges Project in Jefferson County.
The contractor will perform a major traffic switch starting at 7:00 AM on November 9, 2026. During this operation, I-80 west traffic will be shifted onto the new east bridge via a median crossover before being directed back onto existing west road. This traffic switch will facilitate demolition of the existing west bridge and construction of the new road and bridge over North Fork Redbank Creek.
All work is weather dependent and weather impacts may result in schedule adjustments. Drivers should use caution in the work zone, follow posted speed limits, and watch for workers and equipment.
