Weather permitting, work will begin September 25, on the I-80 Sidney eastbound rest area, near reference post 51, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Kingery Construction of Lincoln is the contractor for this project. Work includes the construction of a
new rest area building. Traffic will not be permitted in the rest area. Anticipated completion is October
2024.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones
down.
