Weather permitting, work will begin May 9 on I-80, from the Giltner exit to approximately three miles west of Aurora, reference post 324.55 to reference post 329.06, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Werner Construction, of Hastings, Nebraska is the contractor for this project. Work includes bridge repair, patching, and asphalt overlay. I-80 Traffic will be maintained with lane closures.
All work will be done during the overnight hours, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect.
Anticipated completion is November 2022.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones
down.
