The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) reports that there will be lane restrictions on I-80 westbound Mountain Top/Hazleton (Exit 262) to Wilkes-Barre (Exit 260) Tuesday August 18, 2026 and eastbound Wilkes- Barre (Exit 260) to Mountain Top/Hazleton (Exit 262) on Wednesday August 19, 2026, through Thursday August 20, 2026, from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM in Luzerne County for bridge repairs.

In high-traffic locations, motorists are encouraged to use both lanes of travel to the merge point and take turns merging into the open lane.
